Kombucha is a naturally fermented, lightly sweetened black or green tea. It is a probiotic with several health benefits including improved digestion, mental clarity, and mood stability.

Pied Brew, a local Kombucha brewing business, will have an instructional class for the novice Kombucha brewer at the Winona Public Library on Thursday, December 7th at 6PM.

Students will learn a step-by-step procedure on how to brew their first gallon of homemade Kombucha.  Additionally, students will learn about the ingredients needed to make a healthy cup of booch and will discuss what needs to be done to keep the Mama SCOBY as healthy as possible in the brewing process.  Each brewer will go home with a Kombucha starter, a Mama SCOBY, and a 16 oz bottle of Pied Brew’s finest Kombucha.

This class is free and open to the public but the class is limited and registration is necessary.  To register, go to http://tinyurl.com/wplkombucha.
