We at Around River City are thrilled to share exciting news from the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce! Beth Franklin has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer, and we couldn’t be happier for her and our community.
Beth has been an essential part of the Chamber since 2019, most recently serving as the Workforce Strategies Director and leading the First Friend Newcomer Connection Program. Over the past six years, she has helped more than 500 newcomers settle in Greater La Crosse, overseen the Thrive in the Heart of the Driftless Region talent attraction campaign, and launched the La Crosse Links community onboarding program. Her dedication to numerous workforce initiatives has made a significant impact on our community.
“I graciously accept the position of CEO of the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce,” says Beth Franklin. “In my nearly six years at the Chamber, I have listened to our members to understand their strengths and challenges, fostering deep connections within the community. This focus on relationship building has enabled me to contribute to the creation and growth of successful programs and initiatives that serve our members.”
Beth’s influence within the Chamber has already been significant, and as CEO, she is poised to expand that impact even further. She now has the chance to shape the future of the La Crosse Chamber, driving innovation and success on a larger scale.
“I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Beth Franklin as our new Chief Executive Officer,” states Elizabeth Filter, La Crosse Chamber Board President & CEO and President of VARC, Inc. “Although this is a new role for Beth, she is no stranger to the Chamber. She has been a leader within the organization for almost six years, and her dedication to our members, along with her commitment to the success of the business community, will undoubtedly propel the Chamber to exciting new heights.”
Beth Franklin adds, “This is such an energizing time. I’m excited to work alongside our wonderfully supportive Board of Directors and our high-performing Chamber team, who are dedicated to providing quality programs, engaging events, and meaningful support to our members. I look forward to deepening my connections with our members, expanding our membership, and finding more ways to help our businesses and the larger community thrive.”
The La Crosse Chamber expresses its gratitude to the Board of Directors for their leadership during this transition. With Beth Franklin at the helm, the future looks exceptionally bright, and we at Around River City can’t wait to see what she will accomplish next!
