La Crosse Mayoral Candidates to Face Off in Forum Hosted by WIZM News, Local Organizations

LA CROSSE, Wis. — WIZM News, in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of the La Crosse Area, La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce, and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Political Science Department, will host a mayoral forum featuring the two final candidates vying for the position of La Crosse Mayor: Chris Kahlow and Shaundel Washington-Spivey.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, at 6 p.m. at the Cleary and Friends Alumni Center on the UW-La Crosse campus. Doors will open to the public at approximately 5:15 p.m., and attendance is encouraged.

Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building, with payment required through the Passport Parking mobile app. Additional parking details can be found on the UW-La Crosse website.

Lee Rasch will moderate the hour-long forum, which will feature a panel of five media representatives posing questions to the candidates.In the final 10 minutes, Kahlow and Washington-Spivey will address questions submitted by audience members upon arrival.

The forum will provide voters with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates ahead of the mayoral election. WIZM News and its partners encourage the community to attend and engage in this important civic event.
