Moon Tunes 2024 Schedule

Moon Tunes

For twelve remarkable seasons, the heart of Riverside Park in La Crosse, Wisconsin, has pulsed with the vibrant rhythms and melodies of Moon Tunes. This beloved concert series, born from a vision of community unity, continues to enchant audiences while supporting artistic expression.

The Origins of Moon Tunes

The genesis of Moon Tunes traces back to its humble beginnings as Noon Tunes, where locals could experience music over the noon lunch hour. With experience and modification, Noon Tunes became Moon Tunes and emerged as a beacon of free musical entertainment, inviting friends and families to gather and revel in the magic of live performances.

A Summer Tradition

Moon Tunes has become synonymous with summertime bliss in La Crosse. Against the backdrop of the majestic Mississippi River, concert-goers unfurl their lawn chairs, unpack their favorite beverages and snacks, and settle in for an evening of auditory delight. From blues to rock, folk to jazz, Moon Tunes showcases the rich tapestry of musical talent that thrives in our community.

More Than Just Music

But Moon Tunes is more than just a concert series—it’s a celebration of camaraderie, generosity, and the spirit of giving back. As the Valley View Rotary passes around donation buckets at intermission, attendees have the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of Moon Tunes. It’s a testament to the collective goodwill and philanthropic spirit that infuses every aspect of this cherished event.
