Moon Tunes releases 2025 schedule

LA CROSSE, Wis. — Riverside Park will once again fill downtown La Crosse with the sound of music as Moon Tunes announces its 2025 schedule, bringing free concerts to the community for the 14th consecutive season.

The series, organized by the Valley View Rotary, kicks off June 5 and runs through September 11, featuring 13 Thursday evening performances from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., unless otherwise noted. The lineup includes a diverse range of local and regional acts such as Mae Simpson, TUGG, Smokin’ Bandits, and Adam Greuel & The Space Burritos, ensuring a vibrant summer of entertainment along the Mississippi River.

Moon Tunes, initially established to fund renovations for the park’s bandshell, has grown into a beloved community tradition that enhances the vitality of downtown La Crosse. The events draw crowds to Riverside Park, boosting local businesses and fostering a sense of togetherness, said Kevin Millard, news director for WIZM News and a longtime area resident.

“It’s a great way to bring people together in the heart of the city,” Millard said. “Families, friends, and visitors can enjoy the music, food trucks, and kids’ activities, all while supporting the community.”

Each concert offers more than just live music. Moon Tunes attendees can enjoy food trucks, beverages, ice cream and kids’ activities, while basking in the festive atmosphere that appeals to all ages. The Rotary collects goodwill donations at the events, with proceeds supporting various projects around Riverside Park and the surrounding area.

The 2025 schedule features special highlights, including a doubleheader on June 12 with Secret Menu and Double Take, an Irish Band Night on August 7, and a Tribute to Lindy Shannon on August 14. The season wraps up September 11 with Adam Greuel & The Space Burritos, promising a memorable close to the summer series.

For downtown La Crosse, Moon Tunes serves as an economic and cultural boon, drawing foot traffic to the riverfront and showcasing the area’s creative spirit. Free admission ensures accessibility, making it a cornerstone of community engagement in the La Crosse area.
