LA CROSSE, Wis. — Oktoberfest USA, a tradition since 1961 celebrating La Crosse’s German heritage, is seeking nominations for its 2025 Parade Marshals—individuals who embody the community’s spirit through leadership and involvement.
Nominees should be well-respected residents who have lived within a 20-mile radius of La Crosse for at least 10 years. The ideal candidate is actively engaged, widely recognized, and known for friendly, outgoing qualities. They must have a record of outstanding accomplishments benefiting the area and be available to lead the festival’s marquee parade and participate in Oktoberfest activities.
Inspired by German immigrants who settled in La Crosse in the mid-1800s, Oktoberfest USA has grown into an annual celebration of parades, music, food and festivities. The Parade Marshals play a prominent role in the royal family.
Nomination forms are available at oktoberfestusa.com/pmnominate. Submissions must be received by Monday, March 17, 2025, to be considered for 2025.
